Yay!!! Finally someone who is like me! Nearly every day, either my fiance will come have lunch with me at work, or I will have lunch with him. He drives a truck, and I sometimes go with him and help him with his route. We both have friends, but prefer to be together so we normally spend our “friend time” with mutual friends whom we can both hang out with.
We have also been accused of being co-dependent, but I totally agree with you. Two people truly loving each other (and also LIKING each other) can want to spend all of their time together if they choose to. It becomes co-dependent if it is only a one-sided situation. If you wanted to spend all of your time with him, but he wanted to spend 2-3 nights a week with his friends, then it could be considered co-dependent. Or if you didn’t have friends outside of the relationship.
What I think that you and your husband have is a truly wonderful relationship that is based on friendship! You can honestly say that your husband is your favorite person and your best friend. What could be better than that!!!!
